Take two parts early Joni Mitchell folk, add one part Sarah McLachlan modern, and blend with good, but somewhat unsettling, tunes and you come up with Silence by Tara MacLean. If you enjoy the two previously listed singer/songwriters from Canada, you'll truly come to enjoy this record. And even if you don't, there is something here which even the most hardened listener will find to ponder. Silence comes across loud and clean.
