Wilshire's self-titled debut is a lovely collection of ambitious CCM. Not content with staying within the slick boundaries of the genre, the husband-wife team shake things up by offering exotic instrumentation (for CCM, anyway) and emphasizing the melodic elements in their songs. There are still some dull moments on the album, but on the whole it's an inspired -- and inspiring -- debut.
