Wreckx-N-Effect's fusion of party hip-hop and soulful urban R&B was a revelation on its first two albums, but it has grown tired and predictable on its belated third album Raps New Generation. Few of the tracks demonstrate any lyrical or musical imagination, and the good-time grooves all fall flat -- in short, it sounds like a party you can't wait to leave.
