Fretblanket's biggest claim to fame thus far was that the video for "Into the Ocean" was voted number one on MTV's 12 Angry Viewers. Aside from the obvious similarities in accent between Bush's Gavin and Fretblanket's Will Copley, Fretblanket also imposes on Bush's previous monopoly on stark, raving idiotic lyrics. Fretblanket and Bush have more in common than Fretblanket should really want.
After listening to Fretblanket one might shudder to think that perhaps there is a full-fledged scene in England of this type of rock music. If so, our only hope is that the United Nations steps in soon and determines that its demise is best for the global music community.
