Whiteboys Review by Tim Sheridan

A veritable who's who of b-list rappers, this soundtrack offers plenty of strong beats and rich mixing textures, but the thug ethos stressed on most of the tracks gets to be a bit of a drag. The theme may play out as an ornament to the film, but as a stand-alone it just gets monotonous. Big Punisher kicks things off with a pleasant, tinkling sample that he turns into a nasty little rant called "Who is a Thug." So you'll get tracks by everyone from Trick Daddy to Canibus, but it's a bit too much of a gangsta thing.
