From his earlier incarnation as the "Intelligent Hoodlum" down to his late 1990s collaborations with Capone-N-Noreaga, Tragedy Khadafi has proven himself to be one of the strongest purveyors of New York's militant, thugged-out hip-hop subgenre. On the follow-up to his acclaimed 2000 release, AGAINST ALL ODDS, Trag blesses rugged street-level production from Booth, Scram Jones, Dart La, and Sha Self, painting vivid, violent portraits of ghetto struggle. From his murderous flow over a Stevie Wonder loop on the title track to the theatrical backdrops of street anthems like "Hood" and "Fall Back," STILL REPORTIN' is more thug-poetry from one of Queens Bridge's most compelling lyricists.
