Known as one of the original members of Public Enemy's S1W's, Professor Griff climbs back into the rap ring with the release of BLOOD OF THE PROFIT. PE frontman Chuck D goes behind the boards to produce such tracks as "The Ole B#ch-U-Worryz," "Vicious Cycle" and "Field N#gguhz In A Huddle," which features an energetic vocal performance from Chuck.

As those familiar with Griff's work might imagine, the tracks are more about content than flow. Tracks like "Black Beauty & The B#tch," "Point Blank" and "Common Thread," which features Society & Lord Mecca, touch topics important to Griff and his intended audience, the black community. Amid the contemporary stream of champagne-sipping M.C.'s, Griff delves deep into political controversy and social awareness. This is an album heavy on religious and socio-political vibes. Not your typical '90s hip-hop album.
