AllMusic Review by Heather Phares
Any Given Sunday, Oliver Stone's epic look at the world of professional football, features a soundtrack with aggressive rap and rock tunes from artists like Goodie Mob, Outkast, Godsmack, DMX, and Sevendust. Two of the film's stars, Jamie Foxx and LL Cool J, contribute tracks: Foxx teams up with Guru and Common on the movie's title track, while LL Cool J performs "Shut Em Down." Hole's "Be a Man," Missy Elliot's "Who You Gonna Call," Kid Rock's "F**k That," Mystikal's "Jump," and Mobb Deep's "Never Goin' Back" are among the highlights of Any Given Sunday, a macho collection that may not reflect the film accurately but will please fans of pumped-up rock and hip-hop.
