Even after listening to Goodfellas, it's unclear whether the 504 Boyz are an actual group or whether this is just another No Limit sampler. Either way, this album certainly plays like the latter, as innumerable rappers trade verses here to assembly-line quality Dirty South productions. You get a little bit of everything here, from club-bangers like "Wobble, Wobble" to romantic thug ballads like "I Can Tell" to the standard fare. In the end, this is just another No Limit album, and whether the 504 Boyz are supposed to be an actual group like, say, Tru or Ghetto Commission, it really doesn't matter -- album or compilation, if it's a late-'90s No Limit release, it's essentially a label sampler. Love or loathe 'em, the No Limit soldiers are up to their usual business here, so don't expect too many surprises -- again, for better or worse.
