Magnified's brand of tight, melodic, electronically enhanced heavy guitar rock could have played well on MTV or commercial rock radio had it been given any kind of promotion from its label -- which of course it wasn't. Although not exceptional, Magnified's Stand in Traffic offers some worthwhile melodies and admirable performances which are laced with the appropriate amount of modern-day production bells and whistles. And although none of the material leaves any strong, lasting impression, it's still the type of stuff that could sell, given the right chance.
