That oracle of all metal knowledge Dave Williams informs me this is a potential classic. I know he's Veni Domine's manager but I think he's right. The precise musical distinctions between doom, speed and the 101 other variants have long since lost me. I'll content myself with the observation that this is the best white metal album to emerge from a British studio. The Swedish rockers, previously known as Seventh Seal, delivered at Greenbelt a year or two back, but nothing prepared this reviewer for the pomp, majesty and inventiveness as the team take us on a journey through the pages of Revelation with guts and at times dazzling dexterity. Play loud enough to make your ears bleed.
