Genre: Post Grunge

AllMusic Review by Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Any opinions of Dogstar will forever be clouded by the fact that Keanu Reeves is the group's bassist -- it will always be seen as a vanity project. As far as vanity projects go, Dogstar is among the best, but judged among post-grunge groups, they are simply average. Their full-length debut, Our Little Visionary, has a couple of of appealingly grungy cuts, but the group has trouble writing hooks, and they don't rock hard enough to make it a viscerally exciting record. Dogstar does show promise, but Our Little Visionary remains a flawed debut.
