Repeat after me: Destroyer 666 fucking rules!! :) This band from Australia is often described as "death metal music with black metal lyrics". You could say that. Personally I just refer to it as Destroyer 666, as I find their sound to be pretty unique. Unchain The Wolves is just under 50 minutes of pure Armageddon with a constant darkness to the sound that make this album such a masterpiece. With song names such as Genesis To Genocide, Australian and Anti-Christ and Satans Hammer, no need to tell you that those guys are not signing love songs! No weak track on this album, some of the stuff is actually kind of catchy, especially the title track, one of the fastest one on the album.
Destroyer 666 is not exactly a very well-known band, and this album is hard to find, but it's worth whatever price you'll pay for it. The band has signed a record deal with Season Of Mist and their new album, Phoenix Rising, should be out at the end of October. In the meantime, do yourself a favor and order this album.
