This self-titled release from Infamous Syndicate set itself apart from the sometimes verbally and sexually abrasive female rap pack of its time by crafting creative harmonies around refreshingly sincere lyrics. Although the well-worn topics of love, lust, struggles and self-discovery are all covered here, Shawnna and Teefa offer an eclectic music base and rap style that is both unique and appealing. To their credit, Infamous Syndicate incorporates contributions from a pool of Chicago's most talented hip-hop producers, adding an element of instrumental versatility and depth to this exceptionally well-produced debut.
