AllMusic Review by Steve Huey
L7's eponymous debut finds the band just beginning to get their sea legs; their trademark grungy fusion of punk and metal isn't quite fully formed yet, often skewing heavily toward one side of the equation or the other. That can sometimes give the album a schizophrenic feel; one minute they're sneering punk goddesses, the next they're offering hard-partying odes to rock & roll that could have been ripped from a Runaways record. But even if L7 doesn't quite jell into a cohesive album, visceral moments like opener "Bite the Wax Tadpole" (the Chinese translation of Coca Cola) make it worth investigating by devoted fans of the band's sludgy grind.

  1. The FLAC link has been updated but Why would you believe that letting us know when a link is down would be against the rules? Reporting a dead link is not against the rules. "Against the rules" is as follows:

1.) Reporting a dead link but not specifying the link in question. I.E. writing "dead link" but NOT specifying which of the 2, being FLAC and or AAC or borh

2.) Reporting links as "dead" even though they are still online.

3.) Requests: being albums, AAC files for specific entries and just requesting anything in general. No requests. Not now, not ever.

4.) Requesting updates to confirmed dead links after exceeding the daily 5GB quota put in place by Mega.nz

5.) (This applies to 4) ignoring the bot's warning after being told you've reached the 5GB daily quota.

6.) Commenting more than once about the same subject. This in reference to people not giving the bot time to clear the comment for publication. All comments are published automatically once cleared by the Spam bot, that meas ALL as in every comment as long as it's not link spam or spam in general.

7.) Disregarding the rules in general: the penalty for any of the offenses mentioned above is being banned from commenting for 72 hours, after 3 chances - each time a person ignores this and or tries to comment under a different user name, an additional 24 hours will be added to the existing ban. All comments in this case will be sent to the trash by the bot and we won't even read them.
