Review by Stephen Thomas Erlewine for Allmusic.com
702 showed promise on their debut, but with their self-titled second effort, they're beginning to find their own voice. True, they need the help of some powerful collaborators and producers to get there -- including Rick "Dutch" Cousin, Soulshock & Karlin, and Missy Elliott, who clearly was an influence here -- but the end result is a seamless, professional contemporary R&B album that is blessed with an appealing sound and some very good songs, such as "Where My Girls At?" Like many modern-day R&B records, it's padded a little bit with filler and runs a little bit too long, but a number of really good moments here make it a true step forward for 702.

    1. Original comment(s): "The download link is wrong, it leads to the "No Doubt" album."

"Hi. You're an idiot and here's why."

      - This publication contains 2 different links and you've failed to specify which one is "wrong".

      . "Don't believe me?"

      - Your words: The download "link" is wrong, it leads to the "No Doubt" album.

      - "link" = singular meaning 1 not 2 or 3 or even 4.

      - "wrong" What's "wrong"? FLAC? AAC? Both

    2. Above is an automated response from a bot. As far as:

"Even if I didn't specify which download link leads to the wrong album, you should've check both links anyways if you actually give a shit about this damn site... lazy ass"

Mistakes happen but this could go both ways.

"It leads to wrong the album"

Once again, what exactly is "it"? Does "it" refer to the FLAC or does it refer to the AAC? Are you looking for both? If yes, then why write "link" when there's 2?

Also, no one else has reported this error since the last update which was December 2019. This why we have the bot and this is why you need to specify. If specifying is something you cannot do than maybe this is not the place for you. If you're going to comment "link" in a 2 link post, you're going to get the same response over and over again.

Take that into consideration next time you get upset. Now, you are free to try again or you can search for greener pastures elsewhere.

    3. Ignorance like this is the reason why we lost the Hip-Hop section. Ignore the crying diva above you Sentinel. The link that she's looking for is the FLAC link. BTW I came looking for the AAC link and it's just fine. I'll be damned if we lose the R&B section for same crap as before.

    4. The FLAC link has been updated.

Guidelines aside, please keep the comments civilized. No more toxicity. The guidelines are available for all to see in every corner of this website. There are no more excuses. If one receives an automated response from the bot and they don't like it, I'm sorry but you were warned the moment you came into this website. If you missed it, that's on you. No more tantrums, please. We're now going offline. All comments will be verified and published tomorrow when the bot is turned back on.
