Everyone's favorite little evil doll Chucky finds love in the film BRIDE OF CHUCKY, a fitting development for the Child's Play series of tongue-in-cheek horror films. Accordingly, the hard rock and metal bands that contribute to the film's soundtrack mix darkness and humor, as befits such a project. No one has ever accused Type O Negative ("Love You to Death") or Slayer ("Human Disease") of levity, but many of their riff-crunching compatriots leaven the sonic assault with a gonzo sensibility that perfectly matches the film. The Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies' "Boogie King" harks back to the days of Black Oak Arkansas," while the world's coolest metal band Motorhead contribute their trademark growl and rumble to "Love For Sale." BRIDE OF CHUCKY makes a perfect aural companion to the film, but it also doubles as a damn fine metal/hard-rock compilation.
