AllMusic Review by Heather Phares
The soundtrack to Bones -- Ernest Dickerson's urban horror/blaxploitation homage starring Snoop Doggy Dogg -- mixes rap and contemporary R&B from the likes of Kokane, D12, and of course, Snoop himself. His collaborations with MC Ren and RBX on "Legend of Jimmy Bones," Bad Azz, Chan, and Coniyac on "The Death of Snow White," Soopafly on "Jimmy's Revenge," and Outkast on "Endo" and "Fresh and Clean (Remix)" are among the collection's highlights. D12's "These Drugs," Kurupt and Roscoe's "It's Jimmy," and FT's "F-It-Less" maintain the dark, hard-hitting vibe, while William DeVaughn's "Be Thankful" adds a retro-soul touch to the album. An appropriately streetsmart, eerie soundtrack.
